What will homeowners insurance cover?
Hail is the storm risk most Plano owners plan for. The Texas Department of Insurance notes that policies can have separate deductibles for different types of loss. Roofs paid at actual cash value pay less as they age. Standard home policies do not cover flood. For homes near creeks, check the City's floodplain information.

Who provides utilities in Plano?

Plano is a DART member city. The Red and Orange lines stop at Downtown Plano and Parker Road stations. The Silver Line runs about 26 miles from Shiloh Road Station to DFW Airport Terminal B. The City also runs the Legacy Circulator shuttle.
The Dallas North Tollway, Sam Rayburn Tollway and President George Bush Turnpike are toll roads. NTTA says drivers without a TollTag pay twice as much through ZipCash billing.
Parker Road Station has more than 2,000 free parking spaces, which helps if you drive to the train.
