Its pool packet calls for a barrier fence at least 4 feet tall, with gates that self-close and self-latch and a latch at least 54 inches above grade.

On a resale, ask for the original pool permit and final inspection. Check that the fence, gates and door alarms still work, because a missing latch or a gap in the fence is a common repair item.
