Flower Mound, TX school ratings start with two main districts: Lewisville ISD and Argyle ISD. Denton, Grapevine-Colleyville and Northwest ISDs serve small areas of town. Here is how assignment works and where to find official ratings.

Which school districts serve Flower Mound?

The Town's School Resources page says Lewisville ISD and Argyle ISD serve most of Flower Mound. Denton ISD, Grapevine-Colleyville ISD and Northwest ISD serve small areas. Canyon Falls, for example, is split between Argyle ISD and Northwest ISD.

How does school assignment work in Lewisville ISD?

Lewisville ISD assigns campuses by address. Its online School Locator shows the assigned campuses for 2026-27. Other districts post their own maps and locators. Take extra care with west-side addresses, since district lines vary there.

What transfer and choice options exist?

Lewisville ISD takes transfers from inside and outside the district only during set application windows. Approval looks at space, staffing, grades, discipline and attendance. The district does not provide rides for transfers.

LISD also runs programs of choice, each with its own application. They include its STEM Academy, Discovery Academy and Collegiate Academy. Texas also has public charter schools, which enroll by application.

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) posts official ratings for districts and campuses at txschools.gov. Look up each district and campus that serves your address there.

TEA's 2026 ratings list these overall district ratings for the 2025-26 school year:

Lewisville ISD: B, 83 out of 100. Argyle ISD: A, 92 out of 100. Denton ISD: C, 76 out of 100. Grapevine-Colleyville ISD: A, 91 out of 100. Northwest ISD: B, 82 out of 100.

These are district results only. Campus ratings vary, so check each campus tied to an address.

How do you verify the school district for an address?

Enter the exact address in the district's locator. Call the district if the home is near a boundary or in a newer section. Ask the seller which campuses the home is zoned to, then confirm it yourself. Always check the school for an address with the district itself.
